The Gramophone Awards are widely regarded as the most
important and influential classical music awards in the world.
Gramophone critics select nominees from a pool of more than 2,000
reviews that have appeared in the magazine throughout the year and
choose the winners after a two-round balloting process. Each year a
Record of the Year is selected from the list of winners.
